I retired in the summer of 2019 having worked as secretary at our fabulous school for 32 years
Both of my children attended and now my granddaughter attends the best primary school in the north east Dave and I have lived in the village for 43 years, married for 48 years and have been actively involved in the local playgroup, badminton club, kimblesworth cricket club as well as working in our local pubs and clubs. While working at the school I ran our very successful netball club/team for many years with 2 of our girls going on to represent our county and one playing for England My time is now taken up helping to look after my granddaughter after school, walking my 2 grand dogs, swimming, supporting Sunderland afc, holidaying abroad but most especially as a qualified umpire.. umpiring netball in the north Durham county league, Durham social league and Durham university I also help out on school trips which I love as it keeps me involved with the bairns that I miss greatly since I retired As a governor I serve on the Appeals and personnel committee and i take a great interest in the mental health and well-being of everyone at school.
