Book Reviews
This
term's book reviewers.
As part of our english work we asked all of our children to review their favourite book. I have included one from each year group in school for this term and aim to post more in the future. The children also drew pictures to go with their reviews.
The Magic Stone
The little girl found a magic stone. She put it in the back garden. It turned into a diamond. I like this story because it has a nice diamond picture in it.

A Band of Joining-In Stories by Pat Thomson
This book is about lots of different
stories. The stories are funny and make-believe.
There is one story I like very much .It is called millions of cats it is
about an old woman and an old man .The old woman wanted a cat so the old
man went looking for one ,but I won't tell you the whole story because
it will ruin it,but I will tell you it is well worth taking a look at.

The Saddle Club (Horse Power) by Bonnie Bryant
This book is about the people in
the Saddle Club (Stephanie Lake, Carol Hanson and Lisa Atwood) have been
planning a gymkhana (fun games on horseback) for the rest of the people
at Pine hollow stables. They plan crazy games and hopefully they'll get
it ready in a couple of weeks. Carols dad was in the marines and his old
friend has a daughter called Kate Devine. She is a championship rider but
she want's to give up riding.
I would recommend this book because.... it is funny and it gives you tips
sometimes. There is a series which would be fun to collect. I would only
get it if you like horses.
