Science Day with Balfour Beatty
Year 1 joined forces with Year 2 to create a variety of volcanoes: Composite, Cinder Cone and Shield ranging in age from 1 million years to just 73 years old.
The children used their research skills and learned about some Health & Safety precautions before experiencing the chemically engineered eruptions, which were spectacular!
“I had the most fun ever and it’s the best job ever in the world.” said Peyton.
Oscar stated, “I want to do engineering because I think it will be exciting!”
Well done to all of the boys and girls in class 2 who attended a Soccertots festival at the Riverside Sports Complex on Wednesday. The children had lots of fun joining in different types of ball games. A very big well done to our two Sports Leaders, Dayna and Ben. They were fantastic helping out the younger children.
Change 4 Life Festival
On Wednesday (15th June) our change 4 life club children attended a festival at Freeman’s Quay to learn more about keeping healthy. Poppy was one of the 9 children who attended, along with 3 sports leaders. Here is what she has to say …..
My experience was great. We had a race with a race light, one at a time we threw a ball into the net a camera was behind the net. We played a game where we pressed the buttons that lit up and we played a jumping game where you had to jump to the edges. The last game was a stretching and pulling, we had one extra game it was a rowing machine.
