Hello and Welcome to Nettlesworth Primary School!
We have created this page for virtual transition information that you can easily access from home.
Anything you need please do not hesitate to contact us either at the school office on: 0191 3710444 or via email: firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
After speaking to all of you on the phone, I will be contacting your child’s nurseries over the coming weeks to find out more about their favourite things.
A little Hello from all of the staff
Here is a little booklet showing your children all of the lovely areas of their new school – We know that they are going to love it 🙂
We’re delighted to welcome you and your child to Nettlesworth Primary School as part of our new reception class!
I’m Mrs Donna Lee and I’m headteacher at Nettlesworth Primary School, Mrs Morton (previously known as Miss Grant) will be your child’s reception teacher and Mrs Plant will be covering Mrs Morton’s maternity leave for the Autumn Term as she is due her baby boy in August. Mrs Morton will still keep in touch one day a week during this time. Mrs Hill and Mrs Hindmarch support in this class also.
As a school, we’ve had to adapt rapidly over the past few weeks and we’re currently open to the children of critical workers and using online learning platforms, links to learning on our school website, have a you tube channel and sending out home learning packs to our children.
It’s definitely an unusual and challenging time at the moment, and we know you and your child might be feeling worried about the transition into reception this September. We want to reassure you that we’re here for you every step of the way.
In order to follow the government’s guidelines on social distancing, we’ve had to adjust our arrangements for supporting this year’s transition. However, we hope the remote activities that we’ve planned via email/telephone will help put your child (and you!) at ease and get them feeling as excited as we are for the new school year. We also have created a section on our school website under parents, named Reception 2020 where you can find current information.
We’ll be contacting you with further details on these arrangements.
If you have any concerns or questions about your child’s transition, please let us know by my email firstname.lastname@example.org or Mrs Morton’s email email@example.com
We can’t say yet when we’ll be able to open the school fully, but rest assured that if anything changes at all, we’ll contact you as soon as possible via email/telephone.
We look forward to connecting with you over the next term, as we prepare for the start of your child’s learning journey with us.
Mrs Donna Lee
