UNCRC Article 29 (goals of education)
Education must develop every child’s personality, talents and abilities to the full. It must encourage the child’s respect for human rights, as well as respect for their parents, their own and other cultures, and the environment.
Over the last term, our children have developed their health and safety awareness through the Junior Road Safety scheme; four children within our class were selected as Junior Road Safety Officers and these children have participated in assemblies and ran competitions to design a road safety banner – the winning entry to be erected on the school’s perimeter fence. On Friday (3.5.19), we welcomed parents, Governors, friends and the Local MP Kevan Jones to our Junior Road Safety Coffee Morning to showcase our work.
Well done Alfie for your winning banner.
Our children also enjoyed learning about how the police tackle road safety awareness issues with a visit from a response car.
