I was a part-time language teacher at Durham University and I have lived in Kimblesworth for the past 10 years. I have 3 grown up children and am convinced that having a positive experience of education in Primary school is critical for a child’s chances of success in later life.
We are very fortunate to have such an excellent primary school in our village and I am proud to be able to serve as a Community governor in a school that offers such a caring and stimulating learning environment.
As part of my role as Governor I serve on the following committees
Appeals Committee which has responsibility for dealing with appeals made about procedure or decisions relating to staff members.
Curriculum and Standards Committee which has responsibility for the oversight of the curriculum delivery in school and standards of attainment in school.
