Today in school we had our very own Internet Safety coffee morning! We ate biscuits, drank juice and did a carousel of activities about staying safe online. We each took turns in our classes to come into the hall and take part in the activities – we also had bulletin boards about staying safe online that we each created in our teams!

Today we went to Sherburn Leisure Centre to take part in a Gymnastic event. We had loads of fun bouncing and jumping and balancing! We loved using all of the equipment and practising the skills we have learnt in school with Mr Beveridge.
Look at us go!

Last week class 2 entered a colouring competition at Tesco in Chester le Street. All of our lovely pictures are on display in store. But we had amazing news! One of our friends won a prize!
A massive well done to Jake for a beautifully coloured in picture. He won a Tesco gift voucher and a bag full of chocolate! 🍫 we hope you enjoy your prize!!! Super proud of you Jake 🎉
In Geography this half term we have learnt all about our local area. We talked about what we like and dislike about Nettlesworth. We noticed that one of the things that we don’t like is the smelly dog poo! So we decided to try and do something about it. We have written a letter to our MP, Kevan Jones, in the hope he can help us solve this smelly problem!

Update …
Further to your correspondence to Durham County Council dated 14 December in which you detail Ms Aspinal’s concerns regarding the installation of a dog waste bin near Nettlesworth Primary School.
Firstly, I am sorry to hear that irresponsible people are not picking up after their pets. Regarding your suggestion to install a dog waste bin near the school, I can confirm that we can install a dog waste bin next to a lamppost on the grass verge outside the school grounds. If this location is acceptable we can arrange for the bin to be installed.
If Ms Aspinal could confirm that she is happy with the suggestion, we can then make arrangements to carry out the work.
Yours sincerely
