Well done to our year 3/4 and year 5/6 hockey teams who competed against schools form Durham/Chester-Le-Street area.

On Monday years 1 to 6 took part in a challenging Science and Activity day with Balfour Beatty. Years 1 and 2 did a volcano activity which introduced them to chemistry and geology. Years 3 and 4 worked with skills needed in the construction industry, creating marshmallow catapults and years 5 and 6 looked at profit and loss in the construction industry with the egg drop challenges. Year 6 had a great time making bread in Design Technology and learning about the heart and circulatory system in Science.

We went with the Year 1 to Riverside, Chester-Le-Street to help them with football skills. The did a carousel of football activities and had great fun!

Ana, Ben and Devin had a lovely night at Durham Town Hall. They were celebrating been nominated for Young Sporting Achievement of the Year Award in Durham and Chester-Le-Street for their long, hard work as Sports Leaders. Steve Cram was a guest speaker at the event.

Well done to Ana, Devin and Ben (past pupils) who have been nominated for the Young Sporting Achievement of the Year award within Durham and Chester-Le-Street. They are to attend an Activity Awards Evening at Durham Town Hall on Thursday 22nd September where all local winners will be announced.
