A massive well done to all our children who have been working hard on their TT Rockstars in school and at home to enhance their multiplication tables knowledge.
We are celebrating today with these children who have scored the greatest amounts over the past 7 days.
Well done to everyone for your commitment; keep up the hard work and next week it could be you who achieves a certificate.

This morning we had our Safeguarding assembly that related to staying safe around water. The children were surprised at how many different places we find water and the danger sit can bring, even when in the bath or a paddling pool. We had lots of top tips on how to stay safe when in and around water as well as the meaning of the coloured flags near beaches. The children then recorded their useful tips in their class safeguarding books, Class 1 remembered a top tip:
STAY
AWAY
FROM the
EDGE
On Friday (29.09.17) Jen, Darren and Beth came into school to talk to us all about keeping ourselves safe whilst riding our bike.
They started with a whole school assembly on how to wear your helmet correctly and why it is super important to do us. We all met Mr Melon Head!
Next they worked with class 3 and helped them design helmets to keep eggs safe. Some of the eggs survived the fall from a great height but not all of them!
Later Class 4 took part in a workshop on bike miles. They all got a chance to ride as fast and far as they could in one minute.
Some year 2 children were then able to bring their bikes into school to take part in a skills session. They all worked really well and tried hard.
Finally some year 1 and EYFS children worked with the SSP staff and their parents / carers to take their stabilisers off their bikes. We were so proud of the children for trying this scary task. All children worked well and impressed us.
We had a really good day!

We had lots of fun watching the puppet show telling us all about the Easter story of how Jesus was crucified and then miraculously rose from the tomb. Thank you to the All Saints Church In Durham for putting on a fantastic performance.
